Seems FIAT made these shafts for 90bhp models, but as the bhp was increased the shafts were not uprated to match. Mostly they tend to twist out of shape and the car wobbles and shimmy's as you increase speed.

· The prop shaft will be hollow with possibly a splined male and socket to compensate for any lateral movement. If it's the splined shaft that's broken, you'll need a new prop shaft If the prop shaft has to be separated, always mark both parts so it goes back exactly as it came apart, otherwise expect some 'Good Vibrations'
